Ghar Ka Bana Shudhkhana
From a sabzi mandi in Rohini to 28,000 tiffins delivered this is our story.
How it started
That Vegetable Seller
A Request
And a Beginning of a Beautiful jounry
It was never planned. In 2020, my mother went to buy vegetables from a local sabzi mandi in Rohini, when she was buy vegetables a tired vegetable seller asked her with an unusual request: “Didi, ye baigan aapko me aese he de raha hu kya aap mere liye baigan ka bharta bana sakte ho?”
His face was exhausted not by work, but by food. Every tiffin around him felt like a dhaba: Heavy refined oil, loaded with masala, no warmth, no care. He had forgotten what ghar ka khana tasted like.
My mother came home, told me his story, and next day she cook a full Uttarakhand-style baingan ka bharta. He took one bite and went in silence. Then he said: “Aunty, ye toh bahut hi tasty hai.”
He requested her for 4 roti he will pay for it but she made it for free. He gave her vegetables for free in return and my mother makes cooked food for him. Then his friend, another seller, joined, then another and something beautiful was born not from business, but from genuine love for food.
Our First Customer
A Heavy Knee Deep Rain
She Could Have Stayed Home, But
She Didn't, That's Who We Are
On 25th July 2021, Delhi having heavy rainfall. Water was at knee level on the streets. Satwik our very first official customer from a Naharpur PG had ordered 2 aloo paratha for RS50 on that time.
Most tiffin service would cancelled because of rain but on the other hand my mother picked up that tiffin, stepped into the flooded road, and delivered it to him. Because she believed: if someone trusts you with their hunger, you don’t let them down.
That one delivery became 10 customers all from the same PG and from that rainy July day, we never looked back.
We sometimes wondered: what if we also cancelled, like other tiffin services, and what would happen to us? But anyway, that order changes everything.
From a Sabzi Mandi
to 28,000 Tiffins.
A vegetable seller asks my mother for a simple meal. One bharta changes everything. Word spreads from one seller to two and suddenly, we are feeding real people who are tired of fake food.
The vegetable sellers leave the area. We have no customers. COVID tightens its grip. The dream pauses but doesn't die.
then I creates the Google My Business and officially names the business "Ghar Ka Bana Shudhkhana." The name says everything homemade, quality, fresh and pure.
Aloo paratha only in RS50 and Knee-deep rainwater but delivers anyway. Satwik becomes customer #1 and then brings 10 more from his PG in Naharpur.

Stories from the Heart
The Moments That
Mean Everything
Uncle Ji Our Oldest, Most Special Customer
He joined us in 2023. An elderly man living alone his son is out of town. He had tried other tiffin services, but they all felt like dhabas: too much oil, too little warmth.
When he started eating with us, something changed. Sometimes, when we have time, we sit with him and he tells us his experience.
That’s what Ghar Ka Bana Shudhkhana means to us.
Tanishq Jewellers Our First Bulk Order
35 people breakfast, lunch, and dinner on Diwali season. Our first ever bulk order and it came from a Tanishq jewellery showroom.
We were nervous, excited. A hundred questions in our heads: How will we do this? What if the taste isn’t perfect?
In the end? Everything went smoothly. Every plate was on time. Every person ate well. That day told us we are ready for something bigger.
